Q: What is the “On the Move” Program?
A: “On the Move” was created specifically for Alpha Gamma Delta collegians as a way to help you understand all the wonderful things the Foundation does; for ΑΓΔ, our sisters and in our communities. By donating to the “On the Move” program, your donation goes directly to the ΑΓΔ Foundation and helps to provide scholarships, financial assistance to your sisters in need, travel for LC’s, programming at Fraternity events and much more.
Q. When I make my $19.04 donation does my name remain in the drawing if I am not selected that week?
A: No, each Friday afternoon that weeks drawing will close as the next weeks drawing opens. The weekly gift drawing will be open from Friday afternoon to the following Friday afternoon. The “Spotlight” section will host the weekly prizes and the winners. There is no limit to the amount of times you can make a $19.04 donation during this six week program.
Q: Why does my donation to “On the Move” not count towards my chapter’s Jewel Society status?
A: Donations to the “On the Move” Program are made to the Foundation on an individual basis. Chapter donations are typically made through a chapter fund raising event, which goes toward a chapter’s Jewel Society status.
Q: How does the “On the Move” Program benefit me?
A: By donating to the Foundation through the “On the Move” Program, you are helping provide support to your Fraternity (through UIFI/LeaderShape Scholarships, leadership programming at Convention and TLC, traveling LC program, etc.) as well as to your sisters (through Scholarships, SIS Grants, Continuing Education Grants, etc.). Without donations, the Foundation would not be able to provide this support. You never know if you might be the next to need or receive a Scholarship or SIS Grant.
Q: I’m broke, what if I don’t have a spare $19.04 to give to “On the Move”?
A: Just like donating to any charity, donating to the Foundation is your choice. We understand that collegians find themselves in different financial situations; however we hope you will take time to think about all the wonderful things the Foundation does and consider a donation. To help you reach the $19.04 donation amount to receive the ΑΓΔ Travel Jewelry case, this special collegiate giving program runs for six weeks. This time allows you the opportunity to begin saving (less than $3.25 a week). |
